David J. Gagnon is a Financial and Tax Advisor, with 33 years of experience. He has a deep understanding and experience in the areas of Income & Estate Tax Planning, Asset Protection, Wealth Management, Retirement & Income Distribution Management, Multi-Generational Planning, Succession & Exit Planning for Business Owners, and College Planning.
David graduated with honors from Bentley University. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management, with a focus in Accounting. He began his career as a CPA for the prestigious international accounting firm of Deloitte & Touche. David then founded a successful CPA firm, which he sold in 1993 to focus on developing a quality full-service financial planning firm.
Today, David is the founder and owner of First Financial Planners. It is an independent, full service Tax and Financial Planning firm, dedicated to providing personal, comprehensive financial planning and tax strategies, tailored to each client’s financial vision, goals, and objectives.
David holds the designations of CPA (Certified Public Accountant), RFC (Registered Financial Consultant), and CFS (Certified Fund Specialist). These certifications are earned by competency in education, licensing and tenure in the accounting and financial planning fields.
First Financial Planners retirement planning seminars have been widely attended by retirees of IBM, Bristol-Meyers, Pfizer, Unilever, New Haven Regional Water Authority, SBC, Sikorsky, United Technologies, and the Federal Government. David has written articles for the American Chiropractor and Men’s Fitness publications. He has been featured on TV channel 8 WTNH, and a guest speaker for radio programs in Lafayette, Indiana and Naples, Florida. Former host of “Your Undiscovered Wealth” radio program on WICC 600 AM.
David has lived in Madison, Connecticut with his wife and three children for 21 years, and is a lifelong resident of Connecticut.
